All courses from the beginner to dive master education are taught by PADI- standards and in small groups of maximum 4 people.
PADI stands for the Professional Association of Dive Instructors.

During each dive course with Aladdin Dive Safari your personal fully trained professional PADI dive instructor will show you that diving is not only safe and easy, but, it's also a lot of fun!

The choice is yours whether you would like to do your aimed dive course(-s) at Koh Chang or Koh Payam island or in combination with a dive safari, -adventure or -expedition.

The complete theory lessons of any course take place at Koh Chang, Koh Payam or in Ranong. They are held in English, German and Dutch and are supported by a video and a course manual. The videos and manuals are available in English, German and Dutch, but mostly also in French, Spanish, Danish and Italian. If you prefer to read a manual in another language as mentoined above, we can order your selected manual language.

The rental of a full set of dive equipment and all training aids are included in the price of your scuba diving certification. The specific course manual is yours to keep at the end of the course.

Tune Up

If you haven't been diving for a longer time and you want to freshen up your skills, the PADI Tune Up might be the appropriate thing to do.

Within the half-day refresh course you will get comfortable again in your scuba gear (handling of equipment, managing buoyancy control and practicing safety skills) and also your theoretical knowledge will be freshened up.

You may decide if you want do the Tune Up in the shallow waters of Koh Chang, Koh Payam or in the swimming pool at Ranong

If your most recent dive is longer then 6 months ago before the start of your dive tour, we will require, for your own as well our safety, that you will join a Tune Up before the start of the tour.

PADI Dive Courses in Thailand: Open Water Diver Course

Open Water Course

Start exploring the underwater world!

The PADI Open Water course will learn you how to dive safe and confident. With simple theorie lessons and shallow water training sessions your experienced PADI dive instructor will teach you the use of scuba equipment.

Upon completion of this introduction you will be prepared to participate in 4 Open Water training dives.

Once you completed the course you will be certified as an Open Water diver which enables you to dive everywhere in the world. The PADI Open Water manual and RDP (Recreational Dive Planner) are yours to keep at the end of the course.

With Aladdin Dive Safari you have the choice to do your Open Water course dives at Koh Chang, or Koh Payam island or to join one of our liveaboards to the Surin- and Similan islands, which are without doubt one of the most interesting training areas to have.

If you choose a liveaboard for your Open Water dives you will get to do 8-12 dives more directly after certification, depending on the duration of the trip.

Advanced Open Water

The PADI advanced course is very experience- and practice orientated and will let you step into deeper levels of diving skills.

There are 5 adventure dives in this program of which the Deep Dive and the Navigation Dive are requisites.

Emergency First Response

This one day course is a pre-requisite to being certified as a PADI rescue diver and is important- and practical knowledge for every-day life.

You will be taught the symptoms and diagnosis of injuries, basic first aid skills and CPR
(cardiopulmonary resuscitation).

Instruction videos combined with many practical exercises, will prepare you to respond to, and handle emergency situations.

Rescue Diver

Increase your awareness, responsibility and competence.

In theory lessons you will focus on problem prevention and accident management. Many practical diving exercises will teach you self-rescue skills and how to help other divers in distress.

Divemaster

The PADI dive master course is an excellent challenge for those who want to move deeper into diving knowledge and learn dive skills on a professional level.

During your internship you will not only complete the PADI requirements (including making an underwater map and emergency plan, following your instructor when teaching other PADI courses, demonstrating your rescue skills in a scenario and others), you will also experience first-hand the day to day job of a dive master.

Your confidence level will soar when you begin to leadfun divers under the supervision of a PADI professional and start to take responsibilty.

As you gain confidence, your employability will improve. The course can be tailored to your individual needs and to your schedule, but remember, the more you put in, the more you will get out.

At Aladdin Dive Safari we recommend that you allow minimum 6 weeks for completion in order to receive the full benefit of your education, but longer packages of several months are also available.
